The company

Garrett Audiovisuais is a company based in Lisbon, which operates both nationally and internationally, and was created on May 4, 1978. Its area of activity is the provision of audio-visual equipment for the professional market, the creation of projects and installations of audio-visual systems.

The challenge

The challenge presented by Garrett was to register business leads from anywhere. That is, they wanted a mobility solution that would allow their commercials to register and send ideas and potential deals. As Vera Garrett told us, “it made sense for us to have an app that would allow us to register leads quickly and simply through the phone and interact with the PHC when synchronized.”

Thus, it was intended to create an application for Android Smartphones, called Appsys Garrett CRM, that allowed mobility in the registry of “CRM visits”, as it is done internally in the management software, which is the PHC. Also, the app should allow a quick client search by payee number or name, and work offline, synchronizing the information with the central server as soon as it has connectivity to it. “This idea came around because when the commercials are on the street, they are often awakened for business possibilities, but at that moment they may not have anything to write on. A mobile phone is a tool that is always with us and because of that surge the intention to create an app.”

The solution

Two types of services were used in this project. First, the necessary changes to the PHC CRM that Garrett already used were implemented to consider all the requirements identified for the mobility solution.

The second step was the development of the mobile application with Kalipso technology. This solution allows Garrett employees to record customer contacts and visits in real-time, with less loss of important information. On the other hand, it allows optimizing the time of the commercials, which are more available to contact other customers and possible customers, ultimately translating into fewer costs, more business opportunities, and more profit for the company.

According to Vera Garrett, “the result was very positive and was liked by all.”
