WordCamp Europe in Porto
It was announced on 22 June that the WordCamp Europe 2020 will be held in Portugal, more precisely in Porto, on the 4, 5, and 6 June of 2020.
This is undoubtedly an important milestone for the WordPress Community Portugal which thus manages to bring this event of more than 2200 people, of all nationalities, predictably more than 30 speakers, for 3 days of lectures and workshops, not forgetting the “Contributors Day”, to Portugal.
The work of organizing WordCamp Europe 2020 has already started and the beginning was with the monitoring of some elements of the community (among which Vítor Rodrigues who accompanied the team of Public Relations) in the organization of WordCamp Europe 2019, which took place on the 20th, 21st and 22nd in Berlin.
WordPress Community Portugal
It will be an ambitious year for a community that has grown slowly but sustainably over the years.
Since the realization of the first WordCamp in Lisbon in 2012, subsequent realization of WordCamp Porto in 2013, until the completion for more than 4 consecutive years of the Porto meetup, and several other meetups that take place across the country.
As well as the maintenance of community website on a regular basis and monitoring the Facebook page or community Slack channel.
A "Call for Organizers“, that is, the possibility for anyone to apply to be part of the organization of this event is now open, so register and mark these days on the agenda.
It's easy to remember the date, on June 3, 2020 we have our knowledge day and, on the following day, WordCamp Europe also in Porto.
